Applied Serendipity
I started my Act II this summer, leaving a corporate C-Level gig for my next chapter. I wanted to continue to do work that I cared about, but more on my own terms. And also spend more time in the forest compound that we acquired over the past few years, and focus more on enjoying life.
Looking through old journals, I found a phrase I coined—applied serendipity—when describing my approach to life and work. It is also an homage to Louis Pasteur’s quote “chance favors the prepared mind.” So when I began this new chapter, I decided to use this as my tagline.
Serendipitously, Applied Serendipity and my name both have the initials AS. That’s the origin story of my beautiful logo created by Casi Hall.
Appplied Serendipity in a nutshell: Dare to act on what you care about to bend favor toward you. An approach evolved from my many years on this planet, but strengthened in recent years as I have spent much more time in nature and based on these five pillars:
Care
Prepare
Aware
Share
Dare
It’s an approach I use in life, business and coaching/guiding.
More to come…
